Welcome
My vision is simple...
'To improve subject understanding and increase exam success for learners for all ages and abilities'.
In order to meet this, I offer a range of teaching options - one-to-one tuition; ongoing group learning; exam revision classes and custom arrangements.

About Me

I am a qualified mathematics teacher and have experience teaching learners of all ages and abilities in both state and independent schools. I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Mathematics; a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Mathematics); Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); and an MBA qualification in Strategic Business Management. I am an Associate Lecturer in Mathematics for the Open University; a GCSE examiner for a main examination board; and I hold an Enhanced DBS/ CRB Certificate.
My career hasn't always been traditional teaching; I've spent a large proportion of my working life in the aviation and manufacturing sectors as a business analyst. Before moving into education, I was often told that I was good at reducing complicated business information into simple terms that could be easily understood by all members of the organisation, and frequently found myself running training programmes for my colleagues. From here, it seemed to be a natural step to undertake a postgraduate qualification in mathematics education and qualify as a teacher - which I did in 2008 and have been teaching formally since then.
Please do not hesitate in contacting me for further information.
Good wishes,
Gary
